    • Yes, children are very welcome here!

    • Our boats are also ideal for small children, so the whole family can enjoy the tour safely and relaxedly.

    • Rain and cold are no problem for us—the impressive fjord shows its beauty in any weather!

    • In the event of strong winds, thunderstorms, or ice on the fjord, we may have to cancel tours at short notice for safety reasons. In this case, we will of course arrange for a rebooking or refund.

    • Even when the sun is shining, there is often a fresh breeze blowing on the fjord. We recommend wearing several layers and good shoes.

    • On colder days, we provide warm suits. It is best to bring your own hat and gloves to keep you warm all over.

Before booking

    • Depending on the model, our boats can accommodate up to 5 or 8 guests.

    • For groups of up to 13 people, we use both boats.

    • Absolutely. We always keep an eye on our guests and adjust our tour and driving style accordingly.

    • This is made possible by our boats, which are both comfortable and sporty.

    • In principle, it is possible to book for just one person. However, please note that we only operate tours for a minimum of two people. If we do not have any other guests on the tour in question, we offer the following options:

      • we will rebook you on an existing tour by arrangement

      • you pay for a second ticket

      • if neither is an option, you will receive a 100% refund of the price paid

  • We start directly in Lysefjord, which gives us a number of advantages:

    • More time for the highlights of Lysefjord

    • Small, personal groups

    • Easy, free parking directly at the boat

    • Yes, a fjord safari is one of the most effective ways to experience the fjord landscape in a short time. In just a few hours, you can see Lysefjord, famous landmarks, and spectacular natural formations.

    • Yes, Preikestolen is clearly visible from Lysefjord. From the boat, you have an unobstructed view of the famous rock platform and the surrounding steep cliffs, which are often only partially visible from land.

    • Our tours Fjord Safari and Private Premium each last around two hours. This duration allows plenty of time for photos, personal guidance, and exciting stories about Lysefjord—without the tour feeling too long or strenuous.

The experience

    • By car:

      • You should plan the outward and return journey times well in advance

      • Route information and bookings at Kolumbus.no (Destination: Forsand, Lysefjorden Marina)

    • The parking spaces directly opposite Joker may not be used. There are plenty of free parking spaces just a few meters further on. These are marked with "Reservert Forsand Båtforeningen" and may be used by our guests .(Picture of the parking spaces)

    • 10 minutes before the tour is sufficient to put on life jackets or suits and conduct the safety briefing.

    • We provide all necessary equipment free of charge.

    • Yes. We have the option of storing backpacks safely on the boat.

    • There is a supermarket right next to our marina.

    • Yes, there is a restroom on site.

    • There are no restrooms during the tour, but in urgent cases we can make a quick stop in nature.

Safety and weather

    • Absolutely! We provide appropriate life jackets and also carry the necessary safety equipment.

    • Our boats have high side walls and we adapt our sailing style to the weather conditions.

    • No. Our experienced and licensed boat operators take care of everything.

    • Yes! Our life jackets comply with legal requirements and are regularly inspected and maintained.

    • We also have appropriate life jackets for children and infants.

    • We check the weather conditions before every tour. If they become too extreme, we will not go ahead with the tour.

    • Our warm suits, reindeer skins, and wool blankets ensure we have a fantastic tour even in colder temperatures!

    • However, your own clothing, warm socks, and shoes should be appropriate for the temperatures!

    • We only conduct tours for confirmed bookings.

    • If we are on site and still have space on the tour, it is possible to book spontaneously.

    The following cancellation policy applies:

    • Cancellation by customer up to 24 hours before start: 100% refund

    • Cancellation by customer within 24 hours prior to commencement: 0% refund

  • If we have to cancel a tour, we offer the following options:

    • We will reschedule the tour for the next available date, or

    • We will refund 100% of the price paid.

    • 5 to 10 business days

    • It may happen that there is not enough space for larger vehicles directly on site. In this case, we will be happy to help you find a suitable parking space nearby (approx. 5 minutes' walk).

    • Yes, Lysefjord is best experienced by boat. From the water, you have an unobstructed view of steep cliffs, striking rock formations such as Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock), and impressive waterfalls.
