Our boats are also ideal for small children, so the whole family can enjoy the tour safely and comfortably.

Rain and cold are no problem for us—the stunning fjord reveals its beauty in any weather!
In the event of strong winds, thunderstorms, or ice on the fjord, we may have to cancel tours at short notice for safety reasons. In that case, we will, of course, arrange a rescheduling or refund.

Even when the sun is shining, there’s often a cool breeze on the fjord. We recommend wearing layers and sturdy shoes.
On colder days, we provide warm suits. It’s best to bring your own hat and gloves so you stay warm from head to toe.

Our tours do not start directly from Stavanger, but from Lysefjorden Marina, 4110 Forsand.
Forsand is a small town located about 45 minutes from Stavanger.
Before booking

Depending on the model, our boats can accommodate up to 5 or 8 guests.
For groups of up to 13 people, we use both boats.

Absolutely. We always keep an eye on our guests and adjust our tour and riding style accordingly.
This is made possible by our boats, which are both comfortable and sporty.

In principle, it is possible to book for just one person. However, please note that we only run tours with a minimum of two people. If we do not have any other guests for that particular tour, we offer the following options:

Yes, a fjord safari is one of the most effective ways to experience the fjord landscape in a short time. In just a few hours, you can see Lysefjord, famous landmarks, and spectacular natural formations.

Yes, Preikestolen is clearly visible from Lysefjord. From the boat, you have an unobstructed view of the famous rock platform and the surrounding steep cliffs, which are often only partially visible from land.

Our tours Fjord Safari and Private Premium each last around two hours. This duration allows plenty of time for photos, personal guidance, and exciting stories about Lysefjord—without the tour feeling too long or strenuous.

The parking spaces directly across from Joker may not be used. There are plenty of free parking spaces just a few meters further down the street. These are marked with “Reserved for Forsand Båtforeningen” and may be used by our guests. (Photo of the parking spaces)

Ten minutes before the tour is enough time to put on life jackets or wetsuits and go over the safety instructions.

We provide all the necessary equipment free of charge.

Yes. We have a secure place to store backpacks on the boat.

There is a supermarket right next to our marina.

Yes, there is a restroom on site.
There are no restrooms along the tour route, but in case of an emergency, we can make a quick stop in the woods.

Absolutely! We provide appropriate life jackets and also carry all necessary safety equipment.
Our boats have high sides, and we adjust our sailing style to suit the weather conditions.

No. Our experienced and licensed boat captains handle everything.

Yes! Our life jackets meet all legal requirements and are regularly inspected and maintained.
We also have life jackets suitable for children and toddlers.

We check the weather conditions before every tour. If conditions become too extreme, we will not go ahead with the tour.

Our warm suits, reindeer skins, and wool blankets ensure we have a fantastic tour even in colder temperatures!
However, make sure your clothing, as well as warm socks and shoes, are appropriate for the weather!

Out of consideration for other guests, we ask that you do not bring dogs on our public tours.
