Fjord Safari – Discover the Lysefjord from the water
Towering cliffs, impressive waterfalls and the iconic Preikestolen high above the fjord – from the water, you’ll experience the Lysefjord and its spectacular scenery from a truly unique perspective.
The tour starts in Forsand, right at the entrance to the Lysefjord. From here, we take two hours to explore the fjord at a relaxed pace, with plenty of time to simply take in the scenery. We visit Fantahålå, enjoy the view of Preikestolen and get up close to the impressive Hengjanefossen. Along the way, you’ll gain fascinating insights into the landscape, the past and life in the region.
One of the special moments along the way is tasting fresh, clear mountain water straight from the source – collected by you directly from the spring. We also enjoy a small picnic on board with a selection of snacks.
Our Fjord Safari can be experienced in two ways:
Fjord Safari
Together with other guests in a small group of no more than eight people.
Private Fjord Safari
Exclusively for your group - with a boat reserved just for you and a personal guide.
Booking & Minimum Price
A minimum price for three guests applies to the Fjord Safari. If a tour already has a booking, it can also be booked for fewer than three guests.
If you are fewer than three guests and pay the minimum price, we will refund the additional amount if further bookings are made for the same tour.
10% deposit
The remaining balance is due 3 days before the tour.
Free Cancellation
Up to 24 hours before the tour starts.

Please note: Our activities may be canceled on short notice due to unfavorable weather conditions, unforeseen staff absences, or an insufficient number of participants.

- Cancellation by Ryfylke Adventures: 100% refund
- Cancellation by the guest up to 24 hours before the start: 100% refund
- Cancellation by the guest less than 24 hours before the start of the event: no refund
